After FINALLY receiving the belt from Ryan, Dave went ahead and selected Tim to Co-Own with Eric. With Tim moving over to Eric's team, Mitch takes over Tim's former roster, and Jason gets sole possession of his team back. Got it?! Good!
With the Co-Owners selected Owners are now focused on selecting Keepers and making really silly trades months before we really know anything. To help you prep for the Keeper Deadline (set for Saturday July 29th) I have put together a quick overview of each team below.
Andrew
- Joe Burrow (Round 1 Selection)
- Deebo Samuel (Round 6 Selection)
- Jamaal Williams (Round 13 Selection)
- Christian Watson (Waivers)
Jesse
- Kenney Pickett (Round 11 Selection)
- Dalvin Cook (Round 2 Selection)
- James Conner (Round 10 Selection)
- George Pickens (Round 11 Selection)
- Alexander Mattison (Round 11 Selection)
- Kadarius Tony (Waivers)
When reading Jesse's current roster, the late round trio of Conner, Pickens, and Mattison really stand out as potential value selections. Mattison specifically shines as he moves into a starting role with little competition behind him. At QB, Kenny Pickett seems like a solid value in the 9th Round, even if he's just your #3 QB. Kadarius Tony caught a TD in the Super Bowl.
My Picks: James Conner (Round 7), George Pickens (Round 8), Alexander Mattison (Round 9)
Jesse keeps his top picks and has 3 potential starters! Finding a QB will be the top priority but Pickett should be around just a few Rounds ahead of where Jesse would have used a Keeper selection on him.
Eric Ridder & Tim Lamb AKA Tidder
- Aaron Rodgers (Round 1 Selection)
- Saquan Barkley (Round 3 Selection)
- Cooper Kupp (Round 4 Selection)
- David Montgomery (Round 5 Selection)
- Evan Engram (Waivers)
The Co-Owners have a couple easy selections with Saquan Barkley and Cooper Kupp, who are both mid 1st Round selections in current mock drafts but won't cost them a 1st Round pick. Keeping Rodgers seems very unlikely with his draft position as does David Montgomery. Evan Engram had a breakout season last year and is a top 10 TE that could be had for a 13th Round selection.
My Picks: Saquan Barkley (Round 2), Cooper Kupp (Round 3), Evan Engram (Round 13)
Unless the Co-Owners do some trading in the offseason, I think this is a pretty easy decision for them. With these selections they should be able to grab a good QB with their Round 1 pick and maybe even bring Rodgers back if he is still available in the 4th Round.
Cha
- Josh Allen (Round 1 Selection)
- Tyreek Hill (Round 2 Selection)
- Aaron Jones (Round 3 Selection)
- Brandon Cooks (Round 6 Selection)
- Nico Collins (Round 15 Selection)
Josh Allen was a Keeper last year and he will be a Keeper this year. Likewise Tyreek Hill seems like an easy selection in Round 2. I don't think you can keep Aaron Jones around with so much unknown about the Packers offense going into this season. So that leaves Brandon Cooks, coming off a bad season but now on a much more fun team, and Nico Collins, who is on a butt team with a rookie QB but should get a million targets.
My Picks: Josh Allen (Round 1), Tyreek Hill (Round 2), Nico Collins (Round 13)
I could easily see Collins matching Cooks production this year thanks garbage time numbers. Cha will continue to be a contender as long as Allen and Hill are top round talents but he has a lot of work to do in this draft.
Taylor
- Kyler Murray (Round 1 Selection)
- Derek Carr (Round 3 Selection)
- Austin Ekeler (Round 2 Selection)
- Tee Higgins (Round 4 Selection)
- Josh Jacobs (Round 5 Selection)
- George Kittle (Round 6 Selection)
Even before the injury it was going to be hard to talk yourself into keeping Kyler Murray with your #1 pick, now it's not even a question. Derek Carr is on a more exciting offense this season, but using a 1st Round pick on him seems way too high. So Taylor is likely to start the draft without a QB, but his RB situation is one of the best in the league. Ekeler is projected in the top half of every mock and should be an easy choice, as is Josh Jacobs who also provides great value after being selected in the 5th Round last year. That leaves Taylor with the choice between Higgins and Kittle.
My Picks: Austin Ekeler (Round 1), Josh Jacobs (Round 3)
I'm sticking with just the two Keepers. Without a Keeper worthy QB on the roster, it might be best to keep as many draft picks available as possible. A 2nd Round selection is just too high for Higgins. Kittle is likely worth a 4th Round pick but it's likely Tay will be looking for QB help in that round.
Dave
- Patrick Mahomes (Round 1 Selection)
- Justin Fields (Round 5 Selection)
- Jordan Love (Waivers)
- Stefon Diggs (Round 2 Selection)
- Jalen Waddle (Round 4 Selection)
- Miles Sanders (Round 7 Selection)
- Devonta Smith (Round 8 Selection)
- Christian Kirk (Round 11 Selection)
- Rachaad White (Waivers)
This is a good time to remind everyone that you can only keep 1 QB. Our reigning champion is loaded at QB but I really don't think he has much to think about when Pat Mahomes is on your roster. I'll be interested if some QB needy teams look to trade for Fields or Love ahead of the Keeper deadline. After Mahomes, Dave has some tough decisions to make at WR and RB.
My Picks: Patrick Mahomes (Round 1), Miles Sanders (Round 5), Devonta Smith (Round 6)
The price tag on Diggs and Waddle is just a little to high for me. In this scenario, Dave keeps his draft picks and may even bring one of those guys back with his 2nd or 3rd Round Picks. Sanders and Smith give Dave a couple startable players at a good value.
Jason
- Dak Prescott (Round 2 Selection)
- Deshaun Watson (Round 10 Selection)
- Desmond Ridder (Round 13 Selection)
- Devonte Adams (Round 2 Selection)
- Travis Etienne (Round 4 Selection)
- Dameon Pierce (Round 9 Selection)
- J.K. Dobbins (Round 11 Selection)
Like Dave, Jason has a decision to make at QB. Dak's been a very good QB and is now a couple years removed from having his leg crushed but a Round 1 price seems a little steep. Deshaun Watson and Desmond Ridder come at a better price and are two of Jason's favorite players. The rest of the group is a little uninspiring.
My Picks: Travis Etienne (Round 2), Dameon Pierce (Round 7), Deshaun Watson (Round 8)
I think Watson is the best bet here when you consider the 8th Round selection. I don't think Jason will do it, but Etienne is easily the highest rated player on his team and is a solid Round 2 selection. Dameon Pierce is still on a bad team, but the price is right.
Justin
- Justin Herbert (Round 1 Selection)
- Daniel Jones (Round 7 Selection)
- Derrick Henry (Round 2 Selection)
- CeeDee Lamb (Round 3 Selection)
- Mark Andrews (Round 3 Selection)
- Kenneth Walker (Round 8 Selection)
- Tony Pollard (Round 9 Selection)
- Jahan Dotson (Round 14 Selection)
I don't think their is any way Justin doesn't keep Herbert with his top pick but I also wouldn't be surprised to see him try and move Herbert for a lower round QB. Tony Pollard is another easy choice and Justin has made it clear in NO OTHER LEAGUE TALK that he really likes Pollard this season. That leaves a slew of interesting guys but I really think it comes down to CeeDee and Kenneth Walker.
My Picks: Justin Herbert (Round 1), Kenneth Walker (Round 6), Tony Pollard (Round 7)
The Seahawks drafted another RB in this year's NFL Draft but I'm still keeping him here in hopes that Walker continues to be the main back. CeeDee was amazing last year but I think Justin will have a chance to bring him back in Round 2 or even 3 without using a Keeper.
Drew
- Tua Tagovailoa (Round 3 Selection)
- Nick Chubb (Round 2 Selection)
- Alvin Kamara (Round 1 Selection)
- DK Metcalf (Round 5 Selection)
- Amon-Ra St. Brown (Round 7 Selection)
- Brandon Aiyuk (Round 9 Selection)
Ryan
- Jalen Hurts (Round 1 Selection)
- Justin Jefferson (Round 2 Selection)
- A.J. Brown (Round 4 Selection)
- Drake London (Round 9 Selection)
- Chris Olave (Round 10 Selection)
Ryan already moved off of Trevor Lawrence and picked up some extra cash. Hurts and Jefferson automatic selections here, leaving the trio of WRs for Ryan to choose from for his final selection.
My Picks: Jalen Hurts (Round 1), Justin Jefferson (Round 2), Chris Olave (Round 8)
Ryan keeps his 3rd Round pick by choosing Olave over A.J. Brown. Really with the difference in draft position this shouldn't be a difficult decision. Ryan is setup to ruin another promising season.
Mike
- Lamar Jackson (Round 1 Selection)
- Christina McCaffery (Round 1 Selection)
- Johnathan Taylor (Round 1 Selection)
- Joe Mixon (Round 3 Selection)
- Ja'Marr Chase (Round 3 Selection)
- Brock Purdy (Waivers)
Depending what Mike thinks about Lamar Jackson, this should be a pretty easy choice. I'm guessing Mike is a fan this year after trading for Lamar but we will see. McCaffery is the #1 pick in re-draft leagues and Ja'Marr is going last Round 1 in mocks.
My Picks: Lamar Jackson (Round 1), Christian McCaffery (Round 2), Ja'Marr Chase (Round 3)
That's a hell of a trio! I could also see Mike passing on keeping Lamar or even trading him before Keepers lock and taking Johnathan Taylor. For me, I wouldn't want to wait until the 4th Round to get my 1st QB.
Mitch
- Trevor Lawrence (Round 5 Selection)
- Najee Harris (Round 2 Selection)
- Travis Kelce (Round 3 Selection)
- Rhamondre Stevenson (Round 9 Selection)
- Isiah Pacheco (Round 13 Selection)
Lawrence and Kelce are easy Keepers so the decision really comes down to which of these RBs do I value most.
My Picks: Travis Kelce (Round 1), Trevor Lawrence (Round 3), Rhamondre Stevenson (Round 7)
Tough to pass on Pacheco for a Round 11 pick, but I right now I'm leaning Stevenson. I do think Harris bounces back this year but with other good backs that can be had in later rounds it was an easy pass.
