Week 1 Overreaction Power Rankings

 

Week 1 is in the books and that means it's time for HUGE overreactions for each team in our Power Rankings!

1. Ryan

Overreaction: Trading away Ja'Marr Chase was absolutely the right call! The Jalen Hurts to AJ Brown connection coupled with Taylor and Jefferson make Ryan the CLEAR favorite.

Reality: The rest of this team is kinda butt, though it might not matter.

2. Jason & Mitch

Overreaction: This is the worst set of starting RBs in the league.

Reality: This is the best WR group in the league.

3. Tim

Overreaction: Jared Goff didn't get a Hard Knocks bump and this team doesn't have a 3rd QB.

Reality: This team is so deep it might not matter who the QB2 is. Patterson and Mike Thomas put up huge points on Tim's bench, making for some hard Start/Sit decisions going forward.

4. Dave

Overreaction: Dave said he hated his team, but he won, so he's actually good!

Reality: Dave's team might actually be OK if Mahomes keeps throwing 5 TDs a game but guys like Waddle and Miles Sanders will need to keep hitting the homerun lottery for Dave to put up big points.

5. Justin

Overreaction: Derick Henry played only 62% of the snaps and managed a meager 82 yards rushing against the Giants.

Reality: Justin's 862 Points in Week 1 feels like his floor. The bench trio of Herbert, Walker, and Dotson will improve throughout the year.

6. Jesse 

Overreaction: CeeDee Lamb was complete trash on Monday Night Football and now has Cooper Rush throwing to him for the next few weeks. Trey Lance looked overwhelmed by a bad Bears defense.

Reality: Burrow put up 172 Points even with the 4 Picks and 2 Fumbles. Lance and CeeDee will be fine.

7. Cha

Overreaction: Cam Akers and Allen Robinson will play second fiddle to Darrell Henderson and Cooper Kupp all season long.

Reality: Even if Akers and Robinson are busts this team has the ability to still make the playoffs with Josh Allen at QB.

8. Andrew

Overreaction: Andrew scored the second fewest points and it's not like he left any points on his bench! Time to build for next year.

Reality: Stafford will bounce back after a nightmare Week 1 and the rookies will improve.

9. Drew

Overreaction: Drew won, he should be higher!

Reality: Keenan Allen is ded and the QB room went from butt to ass with the Steelers announcing their intent to sit Kenny Pickett the entire season. Happy Birthday.

10. Eric

Overreaction: Rodgers and Brady are too old for this shit! Rodgers will be cancelled by the mainstream media after a 1-5 start and Brady will retire before Thanksgiving.

Reality: Rodgers will bounce back with a 5 TD showing against the Bears on Sunday Night Football and Brady retires sometime after Thanksgiving.

11. Taylor

Overreaction: Carson Wentz was the 3rd highest scoring QB in Week 1!

Reality: Taylor started a ded TE and only his QBs scored in triple digits. Elijah Mitchell, a Keeper selection, is out for the foreseeable future and the WRs are all butt.

12. Mike

Overreaction: Dak is ded and so is Mike's season.

Reality: Dak is ded and so is Mike's season.
