2022 Pre-Season Power Rankings

 

Let's get to it! Here are your 2022 Pre-Season Power Rankings!

1. Mike

Here's a really strong team that should only get better when the bench trio of Brian Robinson, DeAndre Hopkins, and Chris Godwin get back on the field. If things go to plan, Mike may record his 2nd winning season EVER!

Prediction: Mike has too many good players, always starts the wrong guy but still takes the #1 Playoff Seed before losing in the 1st Round. 

2. Justin

This team looks good. Nice mix of vets and up and coming players. The bench is stacked with high end backup RBs that will be flooding your trade inbox the next 12 weeks.

Prediction: Justin pulls off a dozen trades that cause Jesse to send 400 uninterrupted GroupMe messages. 

3. Ryan

Half of last year's championship team returned with 3 first round keepers in Taylor, Jefferson, and Chase. After essentially flipping Chase for Jalen Hurts, Ryan added A.J. Brown, making for a fun/maddening Eagles QB/WR stack. The rest of the roster sucks with the exception of Trevor Lawrence who needs to have a big season for Ryan to have a chance at repeating.

Prediction: Ryan makes a couple bad trades with Justin and misses the playoffs.

4. Andrew

Looking to bounce back after losing 7 consecutive games to end last season, Andrew looks like he's put together a pretty solid team! The QB room could be one of the best in the league and I really like this bench unit. Some very interesting rookies that could be big contributors later in the year.

Prediction: Andrew finishes in the top 4 and wins a playoff game.

5. Jesse

The Fantasy Gods gifted Jesse with the 1st pick in the draft, allowing him to select the unkept Joe Burrow. If Trey Lance hits his ceiling this team can win it all. The bench has a handful of interesting rookies that could be contributors this year or keepers next season if Jesse has the patience. 

Prediction: Jesse loses in the Finals for the 3rd consecutive year.

6. Mitch/Jason

All the picks I made will keep this team afloat while Jason's "guys" will be the reason we don't win the championship.

Prediction: 2022 Champs

7. Eric

This team seems fine on paper but everyone is super old. Why on earth is Julio Jones owned in this league?!

Prediction: Tom Brady retires in Week 4, Aaron Rogers takes 4 weeks off to explore himself and Eric misses the playoffs.

8. Taylor

This team is full of guys that appear on every DO NOT DRAFT article but the Murray, Carr, Higgins, and Ekeler core keeps this team very much in the hunt for the playoffs. This bench is awful.

Prediction: A forgettable season that ends in a Round 1 loss.

9. Cha

This team has only 1 QB until Zach Wilson comes back. It's possible Cha picks up Flacco tomorrow but even then, he's counting on the success of the Jets offense too much for my liking. It's likely Cha will need to dip into his WR depth to acquire another QB sooner than later.

Prediction: Cha does make a trade for a QB, but it's another bad QB and he missed the playoffs.

10. Dave

Dave is right, this is his worst team but the QBs might just save him. Damien Harris, Dallas Goedert, and Hunter Renfro are all very boring players. The backup QB on this team is a backup NFL QB.

Prediction: Dave makes some moves and finds a way to make the playoffs

11. Tim

Lotta old guys on this team! The keepers (Lamar, Najee, and Kelce) will keep Tim within striking distance most weeks, but the lack of young blood makes me think this team will regress from last year. The bench is a complete wasteland and this team doesn't have a third QB.

Prediction: Tim somehow makes the playoffs and finishes 4th or something

12. Drew

The only team to never win a Playoff game looks like it may very well extend that streak another season. Tua,Tannehill, and Pickett make up a very meh QB group, which makes leaving Jalen Hurts off Drew's keeper list even more confusing. Chubb and Kamara are guys you have heard of that need to stay healthy for this team to have a shot at the playoffs.
