1. Tim A HUGE matchup with Mitch this week. A victory for Tim punches his ticket to the post season and a good chance at a first round BYE, while a loss could send him tumbling out of the post season. The health of Allen Hurns/Marshall/Forte could be the difference.
2. Cha Cha looked dead in the water just a few weeks ago, but three strait wins has him streaking for a playoff spot. The numbers have said Cha is an elite team all season, and FINALLY the W's are backing up those stats. Cha should have no problem with Drew's M*A*S*H unit this week and the playoffs look more and more likely. A mid week deal for Mike Evans and the injury to Edelman have really helped bolster the WR slots.
3. Elkins Elkins hold steady in the 3 spot despite ANOTHER loss. Still, as of right now he is the only team to lock up a playoff spot. In what should an easy win over Taylor this week, more on that in a few, Elkins might be able to lock up a First Round BYE.
4. Mitch Yes I lost last week, but that's to be expected with Phil Rivers AND #1 Fantasy RB Devonta Freeman unavailable. The previously mentioned matchup with Tim is equally big for me. A win would make the playoffs an almost sure thing, while a loss would have me fighting for a spot the final week.
5. Justin Justin put up a huge score last week to keep his playoff hopes alive. This week he will face-off with an equally win needy team in Mike/Andrew. This matchup will feature a TNF QB matchup of Bortles/Marriotta. That is, if Mike actually starts Bortles. This is another do or die game for Justin.
6. Eric To be clear I DON'T think Eric's team is any good. Still, at 5-5 and matchups with Dave and Jesse to end the season, he's as good a bet as any one outside of Elkins/Tim to make the post season.
7. Taylor You're probably thinking "WHAT GIVES?!" right now. Just last week I was talking Taylor up as a playoff contender, and now he's dropping in the PR after crushing Drew?! Well, this week's matchup vs Elkins is going to the a slaughter with Breese on BYE and Edelman/Manning injured. Next week's matchup vs Cha isn't going to be any easier. Unfortunately, I think last week was as good as it's going to get for Tay this season. Good run buddy.
8. Mike/Andrew These knuckle heads?! YES! A three game win steak has them at 5-5 with a must win matchup with Justin this week. After bashing Cha for dropping a good chunk of FAAB on Amendola today, Mike will start James Jones in his FLEX spot. This team is terrible.
9. Drew Drew will probably make the playoffs and that will make his first round opponent VERY happy. This team is an absolute mess. For real go take a look at it... just terrible right?! Drew should get smoked by Cha this week and Elkins the following, but 7 wins should get him in the playoffs.
10. Jesse Moving up another spot after knocking off Elkins last week, Jesse (owner of a 2-8 record) still has a lot to play for. This week's Jesse/Jason matchup will all but be assure the victor a chance at avoiding co-ownership (tie breakers could come into play if we have a tree way tie with Dave/Jesse/Jason).
11. Dave Tony Romo is back and Joique Bell is on this team, who knew?! A tough matchup with Eric this week and a possible "win or be forced to co-own a team with someone other than Dan" game the following week vs Jason remain on the schedule.
12. Jason Matchups with Jesse and Dave to end the season give Jason the chance to control his own destiny. Unfortunately for Jason, Brian Hoyer might not play and his bench is comically bad. Not Eric level bad, but bad. Enjoy co-ownership Jason.
